To support the strong growth of our activities and our team, we are opening a position of a senior Legal Manager / Corporate Lawyer.

It’s an amazing opportunity to structure the legal function at Trustpair and take ownership of key legal projects that will directly contribute to the international development of the business.

Your goals will be to ensure that Trustpair complies with all legal requirements arising from its operations, advise a variety of stakeholders within the company (Sales, Product, Finance, People, etc), and negotiate strategic contracts.

What you will do :

Business

• Act as a business partner by supporting all teams to seize opportunities and secure the business from a legal standpoint ;
• Provide solutions to the risks encountered during the negotiation of business contracts with our customers, partners and suppliers (NDA, SaaS contracts, service provision agreement, partners contracts, amendments, etc.) ;
• Participate to closing meetings with clients (major corporates) to answer any question or objection regarding the legal aspects of our contracts ;
• Ensure that all legal/compliance impacts are managed ahead of new product features’ launches ;
• Anticipate the key legal aspects in connection with the internationalisation of the business

Corporate / Compliance

• Oversee corporate compliance of Trustpair and its affiliates, and coordinate corporate legal work (incl. preparation and coordination of the meetings of the board of directors and the shareholders’ meetings ;
• Ensure compliance with regards to personal data protection (GDPR) ;
• In coordination with the VP People, advise and support on labour law requirements and manage legal matters related to employees’ benefit plans (ESOP, profit-sharing, etc) ;
• Address legal topics in connection with financing & fundraising operations

Structuration & internal processes

• Design templates, strengthen internal procedures and align our negotiation policies to improve contractualisation process in terms of reliability and velocity ;
• Raise the awareness and evangelize the teams on legal matters

Team & partners

• Recruit and manage a junior resource (intern or apprentice) to support in operational tasks ;
• Build a strong network of partners (lawyers, external experts, etc) as needed ;

MUST HAVE

• 5-8 years of relevant experience

  • in a top-tier law firm
  • OR internal lawyer or legal counsel in a start-up / scale-up environment
  • OR in a consultancy firm with a legal dimension (M&A)
• Legal knowledge - You have a good knowledge to manage legal/compliance risks and advise management on all legal aspects relevant to operating a business, or you know where to find the knowledge ;
• Resourceful and solution-oriented - You’re autonomous in finding solutions to problems. You are well organised and methodical in your approach ;
• Great organization skills, project ownership, you’re a true Business Partner ;
• Team player - You have strong interpersonal / relationship skills to work cross-team
• Communication - Excellent communication skills, fluent in English and French
