As part of Per Angusta’s growth, our Technical team is evolving and we are creating the position of Senior Developer with a team management role.

Today, our Tech team is composed of 10 passionate developers, 1 UX Designer, who report directly to Jean-Michel, CTO of Per Angusta, and 1 Product Owner.
Our team is involved in the Ruby community: before the covid, we were hosting meetups for Lyon.rb. Some of our developers also teach in schools or speak at conferences to share their experiences.

  • We are currently undergoing in a certification process which has an impact on technical requirements, such as structure and security protocols.

  • International growth impacts our daily work as we work to accommodate global needs and standards.

🎯 What do your missions concretely consist of, in this context?

You will be involved in high-level developments and have some input on technical choices, with high level of autonomy. We have a solid application, lots of interesting things to implement/interesting solutions to create for our customers and therefore a constant prioritization for developments.

You are involved with developments of new features, new projects, and help to enforce our project management tools and methods. You will continue to develop our best practices, documentation, tools, and assist in reviewing code.

You make sure the test suite is green and its coverage is maintained, all while, deploying daily in all environments from staging to production.

You should feel comfortable with fast developments, such as proofs of concept, but also support the development of final products to quickly create value and support the efforts of sales.

You will have a specific role by managing the full-stack developer team on a daily basis (workload, meetings or rituals, managing special/individual events…) and you ensure that she is able to implement the defined technical roadmap (definition of objectives, workload/capacity balance, definition of resource requirements, recruitment…).

Your role will be essential to contribute to the structuration of the team and his performance, in relation with the CTO. You will also have a great freedom of action on management, for example challenging the way objectives are defined and followed.

You have also a coaching role for your team: you support your colleagues in the development of their skills, for example by setting up actions on training and doing progress plan.

And, as we grow at Per Angusta, you will certainly be able to project yourself in different missions within a medium term!

🌍 Where will you be physically located?
This position is available in France (100% home office is possible), with a presence in Lyon at least 4 days per month.

Profil recherché

👉 You are the ideal candidate for this position if:

  • You have acquired a minimum of 5 years experience in web development, especially with Ruby On Rails, as a lead developer or team manager. Your knowledge of other languages, such as PHP, Java, C, C++, is interesting.
  • Programing a high quality of code is important to you.
  • You have already worked with a PaaS and you master database languages, in particular SQL.
  • You are fluent in French and English to work in an international environment.

  • You are particularly rigorous; you know how to anticipate and analyze before making a decision.
  • You communicate assertively and know how to make and assume decisions.
  • You appreciate accompanying people in their daily work; you know how to show understanding and patience towards them. You are really known for your coaching skills.

Déroulement des entretiens

  • First call (30 min.) with Maxime (Talent Acquisition Manager) to get to know each other and see if we can go further together (optional)
  • First interview (1h30) with Maxime to evaluate the adequacy between your personality, your expectations and the culture of Per Angusta/what we can offer you
  • Second interview (1h15) with Gabriel (Lead Developer) for a technical discussion and evaluate your skills for the position
  • Third interview (1h) with Marine (Product Owner) to give you the product vision and evaluate your sensitivity to the product and your ability to work in our environment
  • Fourth interview (1h30) with Jean-Michel (CTO) to get to know each other, complete the technical evaluation with a test and provide you the strategic vision.

Of course, all these interviews can be done remotely, in a time frame that we try to keep as short as possible.
