Metroscope is a software as a service company that is a product of EDF’s research labs in France. Our patented AI uses digital twins to automate detection of power plant faults leading to lost power and asset reliability. We pride ourselves on leveraging AI to fight waste, pollution and uncertainty, turning industry into a force for progress, innovation and sustainability.

We currently serve over 60 industrial assets to date and detect more than 2TWh of energy losses last year in Europe and North America. We are looking to continue to grow that success by expanding our US presence.

Job description

We’re looking for an energetic, experienced B2B business developer to join our growing North American sales team. This individual will be a part of a small team working to identify potential customers. You will drive the customer contact strategy and sales process for assigned market scope. In the process, you will become an expert at technical and business messaging for this innovative software. In addition to outreach, a critical part of the role is account management, where you will be the customer contact for this growing business ensuring our customers have a seamless experience.


  • Identify potential customers through market research and analysis
  • Engage with new customers to identify key needs and present Metroscope solutions
  • Commitment to reach sales targets through different sales channels including partners and outbound contact
  • Build a sales pipeline with a focus on opening new markets and close deals
  • Develop pitches and marketing materials for various stakeholders
  • Present at conferences and technical forums
  • Cultivate and formalize business development partnerships
  • Contribute to the overall sales and business development strategy

Preferred experience

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree; focus in business, engineering, or computer systems preferred
  • Greater than 5 years in B2B sales
  • Previous experience in SAAS sales valued
  • Successful track record of sales bookings, contact strategies, and negotiation
  • Strong communication skills, written and oral
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Willing and able to travel in North America
  • Willing and able to relocate/live in the Washington DC, Northern Virginia area
