Position Overview

At Diffusely our mission is to revolutionize how imagery is created and enhanced across industries. We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our AutoRetouch engineering team (fashion AI solutions) and the CarCutter Frontend team (automotive AI), driving product quality, delivery, and engineering excellence.

You’ll oversee a team of 8 engineers across both product lines. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll shape the technical vision, contribute to backend and frontend development, drive system design, and nurture a high-performing, innovative team.

AutoRetouch - Fashion AI Solutions

We’re creating the fashion foundation model of the future. Our AI replaces traditional photoshoots with generative tools that are fast, flexible, and scalable.

Key capabilities:

• AI Image Enhancement: Lightning-fast, automatic retouching with features like background removal, shadow generation, and smart segmentation.

• AI Image Generation: Currently in R&D our boldest product yet. We’re training GenAI to create model images from scratch based on real garments, making fashion production truly digital-first.

CarCutter - Automotive AI Solutions

We're redefining automotive sales with AI-driven image technology that helps dealerships and marketplaces sell more cars faster. We provide a cutting-edge SaaS solution trusted by the industry’s top players.

- AI Backgrounding & Virtual Showrooms: Hyper-realistic 3D backgrounds with 360° virtual spin matched to each vehicle angle with precision cut-outs and grounded shadows studio quality results without the physical showroom.

- Centralized Control (CarCutter Hub): Manage and track your inventory visuals from one powerful, centralized dashboard.

What you'll do:

• Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of 8 people, including Backend, Frontend and mobile engineers. Ensuring effective onboarding, continuous training, and performance management. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

• Hands-On Technical Leadership (Fullstack): Directly engage in coding and problem-solving, embody a "lead by example" approach to uphold high standards and foster innovation within the team.

• Code Quality: Promote and ensure the production of clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Mentor team members in adhering to best coding practices.

• Ownership and Management: Own critical components (APIs, pipelines, features), ensuring reliability and integrity. Provide technical support to teams and deliver quick wins without disrupting key projects.

• Delivery & Quality: Ensure timely project delivery with consistent, high-quality outcomes, while maintaining a sustainable workload through effective prioritization, delegation, and time management.

• Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of your department, ensuring judicious distribution of resources.

• Product Creation: Work hand-in-hand with the product team to translate tech potentials into impactful, market-ready offerings.

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of 6+ years in engineering (Fullstack) and 2+ years in management.

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.

• Relevant hands-on experience with Python, React,  software architecture, and familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. 

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
