Within the Commercial, Digital & Tech department, the Tribe Brands mission is to develop the best digital experiences of our brand websites with a booking and stay experience that differentiates it from the other channels.

The Tribe manages the digital experience of a large portfolio of brands (over 10) with some iconic brands such as Raffles, Fairmont, Sofitel, Pullman, Novotel, Ibis … and is focused to develop revenues and boost local & augmented hospitality experience.

The main pillars of our strategy rely on:

  • Deliver premium, intuitive, immersive user path by promoting hotel services to push upsell
  • Provide a simplified experience with a mobile first strategy
  • Offer a tailor-made digital experience cross brand by providing personalization offers and services

Your mission: 

The Engineering Manager plays a pivotal role in leading and managing several Feature Teams from our PME & Luxury brands portfolio.

Reporting directly to the Engineering Director of the Brands Tribe, you will be responsible for the technical leadership, operational excellence, and successful delivery of digital experiences for the brands. You will foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and technical innovation within your teams, ensuring alignment with the Tribe's vision and overall business objectives.

You work collaboratively with your Product Manager peer to define the brand’s vision and delivery strategy and align the right talents to deliver the best digital experiences.

  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead, mentor, and support Feature Teams, including Tech Leads, Developers, QA.
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing environment, empowering teams to take ownership and deliver against critical metrics.
    • Support the professional growth and development of team members through coaching, feedback, and identifying learning opportunities.

       

  • Technical Delivery & Excellence:
    • Accountable for the on-time, high-quality delivery of technical solutions for the brands digital platforms.
    • Ensure adherence to established engineering standards (security, architecture, quality, performance) in alignment with the Engineering Director and peers.
    • Oversee the technical roadmap and backlog for both Feature Teams, contributing to the enrichment of technical items.
    • Drive the adoption of best practices in software development, testing, and deployment.
    • Act as a technical escalation point for your teams, solving complex problems and removing obstacles to progress.

       
  • Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
    • Work closely with the Product teams to understand requirements, refine user stories, and ensure technical feasibility.
    • Collaborate with other Engineering Managers and Tech Leads to ensure consistency and alignment across the wider engineering organization.
    • Manage relationships with 3rd Party providers (including offshore teams) to ensure smooth collaboration and operational excellence.

       
  • Strategy & Operations:
    • Contribute to the planning and execution of quarterly roadmaps, ensuring alignment with Tribe OKRs.
    • Manage team capacity and contribute to budget planning for your respective Feature Teams.
    • Identify and mitigate technical risks, communicating potential impacts and solutions to the Engineering Director.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within your teams, focusing on efficiency, quality, and innovation.

  • CMS Platform: Adobe AEM Sites
  • HTML/ CSS, Responsive design, Preprocessing Less et Sass
  • JavaScript (Vue.js), JSON, REST API
  • Software Factory: Git, Gitlab CI, Gulp, Webpack, Jest…

Profil recherché

And you? 

  • Proven experience in leading and managing software engineering teams, with a strong focus on mentoring and developing technical talent.
  • Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and strong expertise in Agile methodologies to enhance collaboration and product delivery.
  • Good experience with CMS platforms, particularly with an understanding of templates, components, and authoring requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in modern frontend development technologies, including Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, and RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with 3rd Party providers, including offshore teams, to maintain healthy partnerships and deliver operational excellence.
  • Extensive knowledge of digital website ecosystems and best practices (SEO, A/B testing, web accessibility, analytics, web performance optimization).
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset with a passion for delivering high-quality digital experiences.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with quick turnaround times and deadlines.
  • Dedication to continuous improvement and learning new skills and capabilities.
  • Fluent in French & Professional English (written & oral)
