Position Overview


Location: Paris (France)

At Diffusely our mission is to revolutionize how imagery is created and enhanced across industries. We’re seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead one of our engineering team at CarCutter (automotive AI), driving product quality, delivery, and engineering excellence.

You’ll lead a team of five talented engineers in a hands-on leadership role. You’ll define and drive the technical vision, actively contribute to coding and system design, and foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence within the team.

    AI Backgrounding & Virtual Showrooms: Hyper-realistic 3D backgrounds with 360° virtual spin matched to each vehicle angle with precision cut-outs and grounded shadows studio quality results without the physical showroom.

    Centralized Control (CarCutter Hub): Manage and track your inventory visuals from one powerful, centralized dashboard.

    Marketplace-wide Branding: Unify your catalog with customizable, brand-consistent listings including plate inlay.


    What you'll do:

    • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of 5 people, including Frontend and mobile engineers. Ensuring effective onboarding, continuous training, and performance management. Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

    • Hands-On Technical Leadership (Fullstack): Directly engage in coding and problem-solving, embody a "lead by example" approach to uphold high standards and foster innovation within the team.

    • Code Quality: Promote and ensure the production of clean, efficient, and well-tested code. Mentor team members in adhering to best coding practices.

    • Ownership and Management: Own critical components (APIs, pipelines, features), ensuring reliability and integrity. Provide technical support to teams and deliver quick wins without disrupting key projects.

    • Delivery & Quality: Ensure timely project delivery with consistent, high-quality outcomes, while maintaining a sustainable workload through effective prioritization, delegation, and time management.

    • Budget Management: Oversee the financial aspects of your department, ensuring judicious distribution of resources.

    • Product Creation: Work hand-in-hand with the product team to translate tech potentials into impactful, market-ready offerings.


    What we are looking for:

    • Minimum of 5+ years in engineering (Fullstack) and 2+ years in management.

    • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.

    • Relevant hands-on experience with Python, React,  software architecture, and familiarity with AWS or other cloud platforms. 

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

    • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.

    • Eager to learn, explore and take actions

    Preferred experience

    • Minimum of 6+ years in engineering (Backend or Fullstack) and 2+ years in management.

    • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related.

    • Relevant hands-on experience with Python, software architecture, and familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS). Experience with Symfony / PHP is a plus.

    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

    • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
