Here’s how you will have a role to play in this team :

  • Drafting IT commercial contracts for L’Oréal, including subscription to SaaS/IaaS/PaaS solutions, on-prem software licenses, outsourcing, build, integration, maintenance, consulting, technical assistance, and other IT services agreements
  • Negotiating with the leaders of the IT industry and other service providers supporting the transformation of the L’Oréal Group in the Beauty Tech Company
  • Advising global IT teams on various legal issues
  • Handling any litigation or pre-litigation related to IT projects or services
  • Working closely with Procurement, Security and Vendor Management Office on innovative IT processes and policies
  • Handling, in coordination with the Data Privacy teams, the data protection issues related to the IT projects in compliance with GDPR requirements
  • Delivering training sessions to IT teams and other organizations throughout the L’Oréal Group
  • Implementing and updating standard Group contractual documentation
  • Participating in working groups to provide information and tools to the L’Oréal Legal community worldwide and to other business teams

Profil recherché

The skills that you will need to make an impact :

  • 5–8-year experience in private practice or as in-house counsel in the IT industry
  • Master’s degree in law (preferably in Contract and IT law)
  • Strong negotiation and drafting skills and ability to develop effective negotiation strategies
  • Significant experience in negotiating complex IT transactions, including large global deals, particularly with outsourcers, cloud providers and data processors (significant experience in supporting sales for an IT vendor is a plus)
  • Detailed knowledge of contract and business law
  • Robust background in privacy and data protection law and an ability to apply that knowledge in a practical and pragmatic way
  • Ability to work, communicate, negotiate, and draft contracts in English
  • Team player with an ability to work collaboratively and independently within a multinational organization
  • Strong understanding and interest in the technology and knowledge of IT projects
  • Comprehensive understanding of business environment and models
  • Comfortable in working in a fast paced and disruptive environment and ability to successfully manage frequent changes in priorities, deadlines and workload
  • Ability to identify, prioritize and resolve issues quickly and effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn business requirements, assess risks and propose creative and business-oriented solutions
  • Capacity to anticipate and be responsive to client requirements
  • Good awareness of the legal function role in a large organization and ability to contribute actively to the client decision-making process
  • Sound judgment, practicality, focus on business outcomes and flexibility to manage multiple matters simultaneously
  • Excellent writing and communication skills in French and English
  • Ability to communicate complex issues professionally and concisely
