We are now looking for an ambitious and hands-on Head of Market Development to help us build up our business activities with cities and mobility operators in Southern Europe (Italy, Portugal, Spain). Your role will be key in promoting the Vianova data platform to help cities build a more efficient and sustainable transportation system.

We are a passionate team, on a mission to help cities take back control of their streets, making it more liveable and breathable for billions of citizens. We are looking for “tech for good” enthusiasts to help us build the next generation Operating System for smart cities to manage all connected mobility services.

This is an amazing growth opportunity for anyone who seeks a position at a fast-growing startup. Our platform is already launched with paying customers. We have been part of 2 major European Accelerators, and we just closed a 1.8 million euros seed round.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the company’s business development & revenue generation on Southern Europe markets by identifying and converting new city leads
  • Actively seek out new business opportunities as well as manage the sales pipeline: identify and directly contact new potential city leads, educate prospects, negotiate and close deals
  • Seek and manage city tender processes, procurement contracts & project proposals
  • Develop key partnerships in the region with public authorities, public transport companies and shared mobility operators
  • Attend industry events to build your network, target the key prospects and arouse cities’ interest regarding our solution
  • Help develop, implement, track, and update localized marketing and content strategy for Southern Europe markets
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate demonstrations on Vianova’s platform and services
  • Collect product feedback from prospects and clients, and help shape the product roadmap
  • Provide frequent reports of sales, new leads and overall financial performance

Profil recherché

  • Master’s degree or equivalent from a leading university or business school
  • Native level of at least one Southern Europe language (Italian, Portuguese, Spanish)
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency in a second Southern Europe language would be appreciated
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal + written), bringing ability to quickly build trust and respect in our industry with internal and external partners
  • 3+ years experience in government affairs or enterprise sales, with a deep understanding of the government procurement process, as well as experience in customer success, account management or direct selling within the public sector
  • Experience in the software/technology sector is preferred, and experience in a public sector facing role is strongly desired
  • Maker spirit and grit: we are looking for someone passionate, entrepreneurial and go-getter, with a strong work ethic as well as a genuine interest in the company’s mission
