About the Role

We are seeking a Merchandising Manager to join the Uber Grocery and Retail team. In this key role, you will participate in and drive the execution of our merchandising strategy to strengthen our shopping experience for consumers and deliver category growth. You will be accountable for the success of seasonal campaigns and category management efforts. You will collaborate with consumer ops, marketing and other cross-functional teams to elevate merchandising standards in and out of app. You'll leverage insights to ensure an engaging yet seamless shopping experience, and deliver great user experience.

—— What the Candidate Will Do ——

  • Lead local content strategy, curation, and optimization: Leverage performance data, seasonality, and market trends to craft compelling consumer narratives. Own the development of local categories, optimize aisle management, and curate dedicated app pages and retail feeds. As the owner of the consumer experience, you will harness available tools to enhance the journey, define innovative strategies, and influence cross-functional stakeholders."
  • Manage and deliver high impact marketing campaigns: Oversee the end-to-end development and delivery of merchandising for marketing campaigns and manage an accurate calendar in collaboration with the marketing team. Ensure that campaigns align with product strategies, cultural, and seasonal trends.
  • Category Management: tailoring offerings based on insights, performance metrics, and customer demand. Work with cross-functional teams to improve range, catalog, and ultimately sales.
  • Data-Driven Optimization: Utilize data, insights, and industry analysis to continually refine merchandising strategies and campaign designs, optimizing engagement, conversion rates, and ROI. Measure platform health and report on performance regularly against key metrics with clear insights and recommendations.
  • Identify and raise opportunities: e.g., for product features, partnerships, marketing and work with relevant global teams for prioritisation and delivery
—— Basic Qualifications ——
  1. 3+ years of experience in merchandising, e-commerce, or related roles with a focus in category management
  2. Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive decision-making and optimize merchandising strategies.
  3. Excellent communication, and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
  5. Familiarity with SQL is a plus
  6. Fluent in French and English
