More than one third of the food produced in the world is wasted. And that has a huge impact on the health of our planet, 10% of greenhouse gas emissions coming from food waste!

At Too Good To Go, we have an ambitious goal: To inspire and empower everyone to fight food waste together. We are the world’s #1 app for fighting food waste. We work with thousands of restaurants and food retailers to make their surplus food available to local consumers. The magic of Too Good To Go has been expanding rapidly across Europe and now also the US, with over 132 million meals saved across 17 countries to date.

Your mission :

At Too Good To Go, the public relations team has always been strategic to raise awareness of our company with a press coverage of 2000 clippings per year and successful projects being accomplished (Le Pacte, Le Réseau des Villes Anti-gaspi, Mon école Anti-gaspi). We want to keep the medias’ attention to make sure that Too Good To Go stays a top of mind company when it comes to food waste, climate and sustainable companies with a social impact. We also want to challenge the food ecosystem (industrials, partners, politics…) and the educational system to build a better world that is more sustainable, always through an unifying approach (federate is our motto). 

We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and enthusiastic public relations manager, who will report to our Head of Marketing and manage a team of 4 people : 1 press relation specialist and 3 autonomous project managers.

Your responsibilities

Press Relation management 

  • Build and implement press relation strategy in accordance with the marketing team
  • Create press relation campaigns and relevant content (press releases, polls, infographics, studies) 
  • Identify opportunities to share our mission with the public (and newsjacking) 
  • Create press relation brand messaging 
  • Train spokespersons 
  • Overview all media inquiries (TV, radio, web, press) and interviews/TV shoots logistics 
  • Analyse the impact of the press relation strategy to continuously improve content and action plans
  • Benchmark competition and other food-related campaigns
  • Manage press relation specialist : As a manager, you invest in the team’s growth to make sure they become expert, keep a strong ownership and focus.

Project management

  • Drive successfully with 3 autonomous project managers 3 strategic and impactful projects aiming at reducing food waste : Le Pacte, Le Réseau des Villes Anti-gaspi, Mon école Anti-gaspi
  • Challenge project managers on their operations in order to raise the bar, creating synergies with other TGTG departments and making sure the projects shine externally (consumers, professionals, politics)
  • Monitor project in a measurable way and trying to create links with our TGTG app (for professionals and consumers)
  • Create fresh press stories with these project that resonate in the medias

Campaign management

  • Create, lead and evaluate marketing campaigns, in a transverse way with the local marketing team
  • Manage partners / agencies in association with the Head of Marketing when they are needed for these campaigns
  • Set up KPIs to evaluate a campaign’s successes and learnings

Profil recherché

Your Profile

  • Strong experience in Press Relations as per described in the mission above
  • You have an experience managing a team
  • A successful track record of managing PR campaigns (from creation to evaluation) 
  • A strong network of journalists and key opinion leaders 
  • Strong project management skills
  • An analytical and target-oriented mindset with highly structured approach to project execution with a positive, flexible mindset
  • Creative while being rigorous is part of your DNA : you like to get things done well. 
  • An experience in managing Public Affairs is a plus
  • You love working in a team
  • Perfect French speaking and writing skills are mandatory
  • Good English speaking and writing skills. English is the spoken language in the global marketing team.
  • Your open-minded personality and your strong ability to form relations will easily make you an ambassador of our brand and a network builder
