Our Journey

Sorare was founded by Nicolas Julia and Adrien Montfort in 2018 in Paris to bring sports fans across the globe closer to the players, teams, and leagues they love.

Responsibilities

As the Lead Game Designer at Sorare, you will lead the evolution of our gaming experience across various sports. Responsibilities include: 

• Shape Game Vision: Lead the strategy and evolution of Sorare’s game vision, influencing sports and game modes

• Feature Development: Bring fresh design concepts to the table and actively participate in the development of new features that captivate our user base

• Gameplay Tuning: Fine-tune gameplay elements to ensure player engagement and a balanced gaming environment 

• Enhance Gameplay Features: Drive the enhancement and innovation of gameplay features,  providing strategic guidance for their continuous development

• Design Ideation: Offer diverse design ideas, evaluating different options, and understand their impact on the overall gaming experience

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in gaming or similar roles, preferably in trading card, fantasy sports, or strategy sports games

• Deep knowledge and experience in game design

• Knowledge in other design areas is a plus

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills 

• A true passion for both playing and creating outstanding games

• An interest in sports

• Proven experience in collaborating with product, engineering, and design teams, successfully launching and/or developing multiple games

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail and exceptional project management skills

• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English
