SLB is now looking for an eFA Lab apprentice (Electronics Failure Analysis Laboratory).

PROFILES AND SKILLS

Desired profile: Bac +5 student. Master in Physics, Electronics, or Material Science Engineering.

To fulfill these missions, the sought-after skills are:

1. Responsibilities:

o Perform detailed failure analysis on electronic components, PCBs, and systems to identify root causes of failures. o Analyze failures using various techniques, such as microscopy, X-ray, electrical testing, and other diagnostic tools.

o Collaborate with Engineering, Sustaining, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to provide feedback and recommend corrective actions.

o Document findings, prepare technical reports, and present analysis results to internal/external teams. o Develop and maintain failure analysis procedures, ensuring they align with industry best practices. o Stay updated with the latest technologies, methodologies, and failure analysis techniques.

2. Technical skills:

o Solid knowledge of electronics components and device physics. o Some programming experience desired (Python, MATLAB) for automation.

o Analytical thinking, ability to function independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

3. Other Skills:

o Effective communication skills, written and verbal.

o Proficiency in English and French.

o Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

o Initiative and ability to solve complex problems.

o Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods.
