About the job

A/ Main responsibilities:

1)Manufacturing Operations Management

• Participation and contribution to Global Industrial Affairs (IA) Leadership strategic directions
• Definition and implementation of the region strategic directions
• Work with Manufacturing Site Directors, External Manufacturing and Supply Chain teams to achieve operational targets for safety, quality, delivery, inventory management and financial results visiting on a routine basis manufacturing locations and key markets as required.
• Actively participate and provide guidance in budget and long-range planning reviews, capital planning and requests (for projects above site delegation level), and program launch reviews.

2)CHC Europe Industrial Strategy as CHC IA Europe Region Head

• Support Head of Europe CHC GBU as IA business partner. Coordinate with IA network to support achievement of Sales and BOI targets and supporting business priorities.
• Alignment with strategic guidance given by IA and BU CHC (specialization, repatriation, Design To Cost initiatives, SKU rationalization, harmonization projects)
• Work with GBU to anticipate future business needs, including investment requirements, route to market, technology and trends.
• Fast moving /customer centric transformation to lead & deploy for Europe CHC IA perimeter

3)Improve Operational Performance

• Contribute to CMO network optimization in liaison with External Manufacturing organization (rationalization but also concentration / preferred partners)
• Contribute to Supply Chain network optimization in liaison with regional and global supply chain teams
• Take leadership for defined key strategic CHC Manufacturing and Supply projects for the Europe Region. Support global BU CHC projects as required.

• Support the implementation and evolution of the Sanofi Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
• Define key KPI targets for CHC IA teams within the Europe Region (COGM, Added Value per box, Productivity per manufacturing unit, OEE, Plant Cycle Time, Distribution Costs)
• Provide monthly performance reports and ad-hoc reporting as required. Anticipate negative trends and provide corrective action where necessary.

4)Support Growth

• Work with sites, External Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Development centers and CHC business partners to develop new products.
• Successfully execute launches on time and meeting required performance metrics.

5)Manage Talent

• Work with Human Resources to ensure CHC IA teams are adequately staffed, with sufficient training coaching and mentoring to employees supported by regular and effective performance feedback/reviews.
• Provide leadership to CHC IA staff, ensuring clarity on assignments and coordination of activities.
• Conduct annual Talent Management review to identify solid talent pipeline & manage succession planning. Ensuring sufficient activities are in place to develop employees & accelerate growth of high potential ones..

• Proven work experience in a manufacturing and supply chain environment

• Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization with a set of diverse stakeholders
• Commercial and Strategic capabilities
• Understanding of key business levers in Sanofi and particularly in CHC
• Project Management
• Fluent English & French

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy or related field.
