We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Junior Data Scientist to join our rapidly expanding B2B SaaS company within the Fashion-Technology sector. This position presents the chance to collaborate with a diverse team of dedicated professionals who are committed to utilizing data for driving business growth.

As a Junior Data Scientist, you will help us discover the information hidden in vast amounts of data, and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products. Your primary focus will be in applying data mining techniques, doing statistical analysis, and building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products

As a Junior Data Scientist at ModaResa, you will play a pivotal role in initiating, crafting and executing data-driven solutions that align with our business goals and enrich our product portfolio.

Mission:

Main Missions :

  • Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports

  • Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality

  • Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems

  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets

  • Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems

  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs

  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities

  • Partner with the tech team to determine the best approach around data ingestion, structure, and storage, then work with the team to ensure these are implemented accurately.

  • Contribute ideas on how to make our customers’ data more valuable

  • Apply information literacy skills to a variety of scenarios to locate, evaluate, organize, and communicate information to support data-driven decision making

Skills/Experience

  • Actively enrolled in an accredited Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related Undergraduate program

  • Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects etc), databases (SQL etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS etc)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

  • Experience with cloud services (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS) and understanding of distributed computing principles.

  • Technical expertise egarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

  • A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.

  • Bonus : A thesis / PhD around constraint programming or any topics close to scheduling optimization


Déroulement des entretiens

  1. We first get to know you through your written introduction stating why you believe we could be a good mutual fit!

    In the same go, we asses your video, along with your CV and portfolio if relevant to your role.

  2. If we want to explore further, we send you a fun home personality test and invite your for a first short introductory culture fit call over google meet (30 minutes)

  3. Home case study (3H).

  4. Live test and assessment of your home test. (45 min)

  5. Reference checks from past professional experiences.

  6. 1 hour in-depth interview on your past professional experience in-person (1H).

  7. Last culture fit interview with founder in person in Paris. (30-45 min).
