Your Role: CFO at the Heart of the Mission

As the team grows, we are looking for our first full-time CFO to replace our current part-time CFO and build the financial backbone of an ambitious industrial project involving several tens of millions of euros in capital.

You will be the CEO’s right hand in strategic financial decisions with the opportunity to be part of Fairbrics’s international growth, and be one of our investors key point of contact. You will lead Fairbrics through complex fundraising rounds and large-scale industrial financing with rigor, creativity, and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Partnering: Advise the CEO and leadership team on financial and industrial strategy.

• Fundraising & Investor Relations: Prepare and lead equity and non-dilutive funding rounds. Manage investor reporting and due diligence.

• Project Finance: Structure and manage complex financing projects for industrial scale-up (CAPEX in the tens of millions).

• Financial Control: Build robust budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management systems.

• Accounting & Compliance: Oversee accounting, tax, legal, and regulatory matters in France, Belgium, and future geographies.

• Internal Systems: Create scalable finance operations and admin structures to support international growth.

• External Relations: Be the key point of contact for auditors, public funding bodies, banks, and other financial partners.

• You’re a builder, a partner, and a leader.

• You have successfully managed investor relationships and financial operations in high-growth environments.

• You’ve structured or managed industrial-scale financial projects (ideally in chemicals, carbon capture, or manufacturing).

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

• An acute taste for strategic and operational finances

• Deep understanding of fundraising, reporting, compliance, and European financing mechanisms.

• 3–7+ years of experience in senior financial roles (startup or industrial scale-up preferred).

• Fluency in English (French is a strong plus).
