In 2024, Equativ’s R&D teams implemented concrete actions to reduce the carbon impact of their activities, embedding more responsible practices into the design and optimization of our technologies. This initiative reflects our commitment to minimizing the environmental footprint of research and development while maintaining a high level of innovation. Acknowledging that the ecological transition is an ongoing process, we continue to work on improving the carbon footprint of R&D and strengthening our contribution to a more sustainable advertising ecosystem
Migration to the Cloud
2024 has been the year during which we prepared our migration to the Cloud.
The target of 70% of the data stack migrated to the cloud hasn’t been reached but POCs have been realized to ease the work to be done in 2025.
It’s also 19 epics with a goal achievement average of 99%.
Algorithmic Traffic Management
Although not planned for 2024, we improved our algorithms to optimize traffic shaping and call limiting.
These enhancements increased the efficiency of our call limiter : we increased the percentage of traffic cut by the call limiter from 65% in Aug 2024 to nearly 70% in June 2025
Overall, we completed 9 epics with an average goal achievement of 81%.

These metrics demonstrate that OVH operates with excellent energy efficiency, a very high use of renewable energy, strong water resource management, and a significantly reduced carbon footprint.
