You will be part of an Agile team in charge of maintaining existing features and developing new ones for a given project (customer-related and/or R&D for internal solutions). Typical activities include:

• modeling, designing, and implementing new features (backend and frontend)
• integrating 3rd party APIs
• upgrading and supporting the application
• supporting advanced issues raised by final users

Discngine enables you to occasionnally join other Discngine projects (or internal activities). This can give the opportunity to learn new technologies and methodologies.

You have a Master’s Degree, an Engineering Degree or an equivalent degree in bioinformatics or cheminformatics.

You are highly motivated by web application development in the research industry area.

You have a good understanding of:

• Web development: frontend and backend frameworks (Django, Express, Angular, React…), Javascript
• Databases: Oracle Database, PL/SQL, SQL
• Version control tools (Git)
• Agile frameworks (Kanban, SCRUM)

Knowledge of Workflow-programming tools (especially BIOVIA Pipeline Pilot) and/or Oracle ApEx is a plus.

You are proficient in English. You put the customer at the center of your approach and you are always looking for ways to improve. You are always willing to share your knowledge and learn from others. You like taking initiatives and learning new things.

A first 30-minute phone call will be dedicated to discuss your availabily, your current situation, and to arrange the following technical interview.

The main interview consists of a 2-hour interview with 3 members of Discngine with whom you might work. You will be asked to prepare a short technical presentation on the project of your choice. During the rest of the interview, we will assess your technical and soft skills. We will also have an open discussion about your expectations, and Discngine’s organization.
