CONTEXT

DiGEiZ’s Footfall data offers endless business applications (e.g. merchandising mix, audience segmentation, drive-to-store strategies, media campaign analysis). With 15 shopping malls deployed and +25 more to come across all Europe in the next 2 years, you will contribute as a key member of our fast-paced team in the testing of data capabilities.

MISSION

Expect to use your knowledge of development and testability to effect better design, promote accurate engineering decisions, and implement bug prevention strategies which are both scalable and maintainable across this set of key responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multiple teams (R&D, infra, engineering, backend) to ensure quality and timely delivery of products

• Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for software applications to ensure the reliability of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformations

• Prepare and automatize quality dashboards to monitor data quality

• Conduct functional, integration, regression, and performance testing of database systems using industry standard technologies (SQL, Python, etc.)

• Create and maintain documentation of test plans, test cases and testing results

• Contribute to the success of the European deployment

You will be directly working with the lead of the data generation team (C++/python).

EXPERIENCE

We seek candidates with advanced analytical skills and academic background in a field linked to applied mathematics, statistics, data engineering, data visualisation, or other related fields.

• Graduated from a top engineering/business school or university

• Previous experience at a data engineering position

SKILLS

• Strong analytical and technical skills to address complex issues

• Familiar with the standard analytics toolkit (Python for analysis, Metabase/Plotly/Tableau/Power BI… for visualization, DBT for data pipelines is a bonus)

• Conduct regular touchpoints with digeiz business teams to remain updated on clients’ data quality priorities

• Engage with product owners and development leads to create testing strategies

• Document data quality issues, testing procedures, and resolutions for future reference and knowledge sharing

• Communication skills that prioritize collaboration over conflict
