Cohabs was founded in 2016 with one mission: rethinking shared living by creating spaces designed for unforgettable moments.

We started in Brussels and grew to New York, Paris, Madrid, Luxembourg, and more recently London, Milan, Washington DC, and Marseille.

In late 2023, we celebrated our 1000th room, and it’s just the beginning!

Backed by major funding in 2022, we aim to reach 5,000 rooms by 2026. But for us, being a coliving leader means offering the best experience while growing responsibly.

At Cohabs, we aim to be the coliving leader in the most attractive cities in Europe and the US.
But that’s just the beginning, we want to reinvent how people live, worldwide.

In 2024, 5 of our 9 cities will open their first houses.

Each city works like a startup, acquiring, renovating, designing, and operating 200+ rooms yearly.

From 1,300 open rooms in early 2024, we target 5,000 by 2026. Growth is key, but never at the expense of member experience.

Coliving is inherently sustainable, and CSR is part of our DNA. From using eco-materials and second-hand furniture to reducing energy use, we renovate responsibly.

We also promote inclusion: 5% of our Belgian rooms are rented to refugees at reduced rates, and our members engage in volunteering and social initiatives that drive positive change.
