Polytechnique and Stanford graduate, Louis created two startups before joining Stripe as Head of Business Operations France & Southern Europe. Faced with the growing demand for a payment solution in instalments, he left Stripe in 2018 to launch Alma. His passion is to solve complex problems of any kind: technical (he started as a developer), product, organizational. And Tetris, for which he coded an accelerated version to keep his hands busy during calls.
After graduating from Centrale, François created and managed a BPO company based in Madagascar for 5 years. He then joined the Operations team of Uber France and subsequently harmonised all customer support operations for the EMEA region. He joined Alma in mid-2019 to take charge of Operations. His goal: to optimize and streamline all processes, so that Ops run like clockwork. You would recognize him by his assertive approach, not only in operations, but also in life: he is passionate about rugby and sports in general.
Within the Operations team, Marine is responsible for supporting merchants and customers in the usage of Alma, in order to provide them with the best experience of instalment payments. She joined Alma in November 2019 to be on the front line: daily challenged by her team and assignments, her place in the product lifecycle allows her to be in contact with numerous internal and external stakeholders. In her free time, Marine enjoys creative hobbies, DIY, and loves to hunt for rare finds at flea markets.
As a member of the Risk team, Marin ensures an optimal experience for our merchants while ensuring healthy growth for Alma: he analyzes and manages all risk issues related to our merchants. After studying in England and graduating from a business school in France, he joined Bidmotion where he evolved in positions ranging from Customer Success to VP Operation , with a strong data specialization. He chose to join Alma in January 2020 for the challenge, with the desire to deep dive in new topics. On another topic, Marin is a big sports enthusiast: he loves football, tennis and kitesurfing.
As a member of the Sales team, Alexia is participating to Alma's growth by identifying, qualifying, and retaining new merchants. After getting a Master's degree in Entrepreneurship, she decided she wanted to work in start-ups, an environment she enjoys, as a Sales executive. After spending three years at ManoMano, she joined Alma in March 2020 for its big potential. In addition to being a globe-trotter, Alexia is also a true sports enthusiast: dancing, hiking, scuba diving, and recently... fly fishing!
Lorraine is our Head of Product. Her goal is to meet the needs of our users (customers and merchants) on our solution, support Alma's growth, and meet our development ambitions. Graduated from Dauphine and HEC Paris, she has always worked on product-related dynamics, specifically in the crowdfunding sector, with notable experience at KissKissBankBank & Co. In August 2020, she joined Alma to create the Product department and, among other things, work closely with software developers. Lorraine loves to debate on various topics, whether she is an expert or not: if you talk to her, you will hit the bull's eye if you discuss bistronomy, gourmet food, or fashion.
Benoît is our marketing expert: he ensures a regular supply of qualified leads to support the growth of the team and Alma. He also strives to increase our brand awareness, manages our communication, etc. In short, he has a 360° role! Benoit joined us in June 2020 for the challenge but also for the spirit of the people around him. Everyone is motivated by the same goal: to grow Alma and grow with the company.

We are the leader in France, on track to win the European market on the (very) powerful Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) industry, as we’re now processing payments in 10 European countries. Over the past 5 years, more than 11 000 merchants have chosen Alma to be their innovative BNPL solution, and we have served over 2.7 million consumers.
The team has grown from 2 to 350+ people, we raised a €210M series C early 2022 to help us accelerate further and Alma is already part of the Next40 ranking of the most promising French technology companies. And that's only the beginning.
