E&C FR - Product Process Engineer CO2 (M/F)

Missions and Responsibilities

Having this ambitious plan to serve the Air Liquide Group but also third parties, Air Liquide E&C is looking for a Product Process engineer in charge of supporting the offering and the development of carbon capture and liquefaction technologies.

Job Overview:

The main responsibility of the process engineer is to define the most suitable process solution to answer customer needs. This encompasses understanding customer needs, proposing and simulating different technical solutions, making a critical analysis of different alternatives, size equipment for estimation, validate vendors quotations, and contributing to technical product documentations.

In particular, the CO2 Process engineer will work on the development of CO2 products addressing carbon capture for the industry, will contribute to proposals, feasibility studies and FEEDs. He will also be involved in execution to ensure continuity and capitalization

Main responsibilities :

The main responsibility of the product process engineer is to perform pre-engineering tasks in view to design the most competitive CO2 products and offers. This encompasses simulating processes, challenging different technical solutions, sizing main equipment, and working with various engineering disciplines.

In particular, the CO2 Product Process engineer will work on the development, the offering and when relevant on the detailed Engineering of CO2 products addressing carbon capture, purification and liquefaction for the industry:

More specifically, the Product Process engineer will :

• Elaborate the process schemes under supervision of the solution development manager or the product owner
• Deliver Engineering packages (preliminary PFD, Heat and Mass balance, performance report…)
• Support the architect who defines the plant layout
• Support (lead when relevant) technical exchanges with customers or vendors.
• Be assigned to project execution case by case to ensure a smooth transfer of the developed technical solutions
• Participate (lead when relevant) into safety / hazard review (HAZID, HAZOP). Contribute to safety documentation.
• Participate (lead when relevant) into risk management review.
• Participate in project execution of PDP, FEED or EP projects execution for ensuring a smooth transfer of developed solutions
• Propose innovative ideas from the market (vendor, customer feedback) and track their implementation when relevant, aiming at improving product competitiveness.
• Contribute to the extension of our CO2 Intellectual Property portfolio.

Competencies and Profile

Looking for a problem solver with a high capability to challenge status-quo, always looking for innovative ways to improve product competitiveness.

Knowledge in cryogenics is nice to have.

Good level of English (written/spoken).
