We are looking for a new Lead Software Developer to join our engineering team. The team is already composed of 11 members, dispatched into 4 squads. You will build an important part of our platform, be a pioneer in an ambitious technical project and grow with the company.
You will design and implement innovative user interfaces for the control of the platform. You will also be in charge of coaching one of the squads, composed of 3 to 4 engineers.
To do so, you will participate in the discovery and delivery with the product managers, and lead your squad toward release objectives. You will also participate in managing tech process with the other leads, animate dev days (off days for tech only), and other rituals!
You will be in close relationship with your engineering manager, the other squad’s lead devs and lead product managers.
Objectives :
Short term (4 months) :
You have a good understanding of the product
You have a good understanding of our architecture and infrastructure
You understand and follow the process at Wakeo for product and engineers from discovery to increment release
You bond with your squad
You release new increments, reaching sprint goals successfully
Long Term :
You have a strong understanding of the product
You have a clear overview of our architecture and infrastructure
You are able to challenge product requests and technical choices made by the team
You are able to coach your squad, resolving blockers, keeping ICs motivated
You animate R&D sessions with the whole engineering team
You have graduated from an Engineering School and with minimum 4-8 years of professional experience. Experience in an international B-to-B SaaS is a plus.
You are familiar with the scrum agile methodology.
You have an engineering mindset and strong knowledge in development. Especially on frameworks such as Ruby on Rails, NodeJS, ReactJS, TypeScript, Python.
You help referencing and absorbing technical debt, perform R&D during your dev days and prez days.
You have good communication skills by being structured and persuasive and able to make decisions and argue them.
Good management of ambiguous and complex projects.
You speak French and English.
