We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Director of Business Development to lead our efforts in engaging new collaborations with biotech and pharmaceutical companies. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, forging strategic partnerships, and expanding our market presence in the life sciences industry.

Profil recherché

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to identify and pursue opportunities for collaboration with biotech and pharmaceutical companies leveraging Therapanacea’s assets and technology. 

  • Initiate, cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including C-levels, medical or commercial leadership teams, RWE, diagnostics, and data science teams and decision-makers at target organizations. 

  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract closure for high value and complex technlogy deals. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, data partnerships, marketing, and finance, to tailor solutions to meet the needs of potential clients. 

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform business strategy and identify new business opportunities. 

  • Engage the market with Therapanacea’s differentiating capabilities, such as AI applied to unique multimodal data from its HCP partner network, or predictive analytic concepts which will drive significant changes in drug discovery, clinical development, and accelerate deployment of precision medicine. 

  • Represent TheraPanacea at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to promote our brand and establish thought leadership in the field. 


  • Minimum 5 years of commercial/solution sales experience to the Pharmaceutical / Biotech industry, with significant achievements and relevant network.  

  • Proven sales success in closing high value and complex technology and/or consulting and/or service contracts in the pharmaceutical industry. 

  • A University Degree with a strong scientific and/or business  background, preferably a Masters/PhD degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Genetics, Oncology, Neurosciences, Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Business school etc. 

  • A significant and relevant professional network across the Pharmaceutical industry, that can be leveraged to become valued, repeat customers.   

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including strengths in running effective sales, business and internal meetings, preparing and delivering professional pitches and complex negotiations. 

  • Fluent in English, and another European language to a professional level  

  • A fascination for innovative research and Artificial Intelligence, the future of clinical research and precision medicine. 

  • Ideally, experience of working in a start-up / scale-up company environment, with an ability to think outside the box while supporting it to scale. 

  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time 

  • High adaptability to the fast moving startup / scale-up ecosystem
