In this role, you are part of a team of 3 accountants and a manager , and your are in charge of the accountability for France, Belgium and Switzerland.
Your responsibilities will be (and not limited to):
- Account payable:
- Control, book, purchase order, pay invoices,
- AP queries
- Analyse account payable account.
- Check to correct use of analytical codifications in the book entries
- Control, book and pay expense reports
- Control and book credit card transactions
- Monthly reporting :
- organize monthly reporting and liaise with others team to have all information for the closing,
- book with team all general entries in accounts,
- analyze accounts
- reconciliation for the parent company based in the US (prepare, analyze, provide all the information and explanations to the accounting department, taxes or consolidation of the parent)
- Taxes
- Calculate all local taxes and declare monthly and annually tax returns : corporate income tax, VAT, and other local taxes that are due
- Prepare all documents for CPA
- Payment of fiscal and social taxes
- Cash flow management :
- Ensure the bank reconciliation
- Optimize payments
- Prepare cash flow forecast.
- Annual audit for france, and Belgium :
- Send all documents for audit
- Answers all auditors questions
- Prepare annual financial statement (liaise with CPA) and financial statement for parent company, management report, and other legal documents
- Sox : answers all auditors questions
- Find automation and improvement opportunities in the accounting system (Workday)
Who you are :
Skills:
- Master degree in accounting, control, audit / Diploma in Accounting and Management / University degree or a Business School completed by training or option accounting-finance.
- At least 6 years of experience in an accounting firm
- Deep application of the French GAAP and french tax rules (swiss Belgium accounting standards, international accounting standards (swiss GAAP, Belgium GAAP, UK-US gaap is a plus)
- Proficient in English
- Proficient in MS Excel and large ERP systems (Workday financials a plus)
- Experience working in an international environment, in a group with many foreign subsidiaries
