Join the International Division of SUEZ Consulting, a major player in global engineering and consultancy. With an annual turnover of over €40M, our projects span Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. We work primarily on development initiatives financed by major international donors such as AFD, World Bank, ADB, AfDB, EU, EIB, among others.

Our teams deliver expert services in the fields of water and wastewater management, solid waste, transportation (roads and railways), energy, environmental sustainability, and urban development, supporting vital infrastructure in developing and emerging economies.

Your Team

You will be based in Colombo, working under the guidance of the Head of the Bid Unit, part of the Executive Commercial Directorate. Our multicultural Bid Unit includes professionals located in Brussels (Belgium), Casablanca (Morocco), and Nanterre (France).

 

Your Role & Responsibilities

As a Junior Bid Manager, you’ll play a key role in identifying, preparing, and managing responses to international tenders. You will support the growth of our project portfolio and strengthen our client and partner relationships.

Commercial Activities

  • Monitor upcoming tenders and funding opportunities
  • Research project background information and conduct market analyses
  • Draft Expressions of Interest and Pre-Qualification documents
  • Assist in the preparation of technical and financial proposals
  • Support the production and formatting of high-quality bid documentation
  • Help identify and liaise with external consultants and freelance experts
  • Prepare and format CVs and administrative compliance documents
  • Assist in managing and developing strategic partnerships

 Reporting & Coordination

  • Maintain and update commercial reports and tender tracking systems
  • Organize and manage internal bid documentation libraries and databases
  • Participate in technical meetings and internal knowledge-sharing events
  • Ensure thorough document quality checks before submission to clients

Profil recherché

YOUR PROFILE

Language Skills

  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken)
  • Knowledge of an additional language is a strong asset

Education & Sector Knowledge

  • Academic background related to any of the following sectors:
    Water/Wastewater, Solid Waste, Roads, Railways, Energy, Environment, or Urban Development
  • Higher education in international development cooperation is a plus

Technical Skills

  • Strong analytical and writing abilities
  • Proficiency in IT tool, minimum at Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 Behavioural & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven
  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
  • Detail-oriented, especially in technical and financial documentation
  • Team player with a creative and open-minded approach
  • Able to adapt to multicultural work environments and international contexts
