As our Senior Legal Counsel, Employment, you’ll report to the General Counsel and play a key role in shaping and supporting our global people strategy. You'll be Pigment’s first dedicated employment law specialist—advising the People team on a wide range of international employment law and HR issues as we scale across multiple jurisdictions.

Be the go-to expert for global employment law matters, with a focus on France, the UK, the US, Canada, Germany and other countries where we plan to expand.Draft, update, and negotiate employment agreements, consulting contracts, and employment policies, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with Pigment’s values.Provide practical, risk-balanced legal advice on performance management, employee relations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations, including in cross-border situations.Partner closely with the People, Finance, and business teams to support organisational growth, cross-border hiring, mobility, and much more.Help design and deliver training programs for HR and leadership on employment law best practices and evolving legal requirements.Support global compliance initiatives including supporting works council management, and whistleblower frameworks, and compliance with other relevant laws.Monitor regulatory developments in employment law and proactively address legal risks.Manage external counsel for complex or highly sensitive employment-related issues.Who you are:
A qualified employment lawyer (France) with 6+ years of experience, ideally a mix of law firm and in-house roles within a fast-paced tech environment.Deep expertise in French labor law and strong working knowledge of global employment law frameworks, particularly in common law jurisdictions (UK/US).Experience supporting international HR teams, ideally in a tech, SaaS or scale-up environment.Pragmatic, adaptable, and business-oriented—you know how to get to “yes” while protecting the business.Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French; additional languages are a plus.Able to operate autonomously with sound judgment, but collaborative and eager to partner across teams.Enthusiastic about building world-class legal infrastructure in a growing company.We conduct background checks as part of our hiring process, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations in the countries where we operate.
