Mission

As a Frontend Engineer at Stereolabs you'll play a key part in building our AI Camera Platform with a desire to achieve exceptional design fidelity, usability, accessibility, and performance across both desktop and mobile browsers.Projects will require close collaboration with other teams, working closely with other engineers and stakeholders. These projects may occur simultaneously, so you must be able to juggle multiple concurrent initiatives. We will also expect you to champion sound frontend standards to engineers and management.Our company moves at an extremely fast pace and is always evolving. Being adaptable to change is a necessity and so is having a great attitude.

Responsibilities

• Develop features with React and deploy them with Gitlab on development environments and then in production.
• Work hand in hand with UX/UI teams to integrate their work and develop new features or improve existing ones.
• Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Keep track of, maintain, and fix frontend issues on web and mobile apps (performance issues, network request failures, framework-specific problems, UX issues, JS errors,etc.).

• 3+ years of software engineering industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of React, Bootstrap, Sass, WebPack, and Gitlab.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing (e.g.: Cypress.io).
• Strong interest with backend tech (NodeJS, Express, Postgres, REST API, etc.).
• Appetence for design and UI/UX.
• Solid understanding of web performance and how browsers and DOM work.
• Deep understanding of software engineering best practices and concepts such as SOA, testing practices, code reviews, feature flags, etc.
• Self-starter, ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
