Responsibilities
Position in the Financial Institutions Iberia Coverage team, responsible of the Spanish and Portuguese banks and insurers and also Spanish public sector. The department is a small, hands-on team of 4 people working closely together. Our role is managing the relationship and business that SG has with Iberian financial institutions. To do this, we work hand-to-hand with all business lines of SG Group, which allows us to have a multi-product approach and a global view of our activity with clients, particularly that of Investment banking and Markets.
Tasks and responsibilities:
• Opportunity to learn from the FIG Coverage team (Senior Banker, Banker and a Senior Analyst) by supporting in the framework of client relationships: assistance in memos preparation, Know Your Customer, pitching, client and sectorial analysis for Spanish clients (banks, insurance, asset managers...)
• Involved in industry and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation analysis and financial modelling
• Involved in the preparation and pitching of presentations for clients, investors and the broader investment community
• Assistance in the origination and execution of transactions across the Iberian FIG sector
• Internal interaction with the Corporate Finance team in Madrid, London and Paris and other business lines such as DCM, Securitizations, ECM, Markets, etc...)
• The candidate will work in a challenging environment, within a global team with front-office responsibilities vis-à-vis key clients. The candidate will develop an in-depth understanding of the Spanish and Portuguese banking sector, as well as insurance

Profile required
PLEASE NOTE that since this program is primarily an international development program, candidates cannot apply to a VIE assignment in their own country of citizenship.

Studies & experience:
- Graduate with a Master's degree from a Business/Engineering School or University
- A previous experience in Financial Institutions or Investment Banking would be appreciated
Language skills:
- Intermediate or above in English
- Fluent in Spanish (level B2 minimum)
Technical skills:
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshellThis VIE in Madrid is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
