Our company
SantéVet Group is the market leader in pet health insurance in France and Belgium, with established operations in Germany, Spain and Italy. SantéVet Group was founded in 2003 in Lyon by Jérôme Salord, and now employs around 450 people in Lyon, Lille, Barcelona, Frankfurt and Milano. SantéVet offers a simple but comprehensive suite of pet health insurance solutions that are renewed annually and cover illness, accidents and prevention through three complementary brands: SantéVet, Bulle Bleue and Jim & Joe.
One year ago, the company raised €150m to accelerate it growth on the European market. The company is fastening at a strong pace, developing its pawprint in continental Europe.
Developing complementary services like online booking and direct payment to the vets has become part of our model.
Preferred experience
The Role
Our Company is currently recruiting for a Head of International Business Development and Partnerships to reinforce our existing B2B partnerships and develop new ones across our international markets in Europe.
As member of the Operations Committee and reporting to our Chief of Business development (with dotted line to our Chief of Veterinary Strategy), you will play a key role in the expansion of Santévet Group in Europe.
This position is ideally based in France (Lyon or Lille) or in one of our headquarters (Barcelona, Frankfurt, Milan).
As Head of International Business Development & Partnerships, your main responsibilities will include but won’t be limited to:
- Identifying and structuring business deals within the following areas:
- Pet online communities, Pet retailers, Classic retailers, Employee Benefit plans
- Insurance Professionals: brokers / mutuals / insurers looking for TPA / tied agents
- Breeders and Shelters, Vet Ecosystem (Pharmaceutical Companies, Pet Food companies…)
- Mapping of all potential partnerships in Europe: France, Benelux, DACH, Iberia, Italy
- Rolling out partnerships’ strategies in line with Business plans and KPIs
- Identify / Approach potential prospects and manage the relationships with them
- Contributing to launch new partnerships in a project mode
- Preparing decks for presentations, answers for RFP, NDA, negotiations, legal agreements with the support of our Legal team
- Coordinate with Projects Managers / IT domain leaders / Country Managers & local marketing teams as well as Financial & operational teams
- Follow-up of contracts, renew and renegotiate terms as applicable
Your background
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate the following:
- An overall experience of at least 8 years in an international B2B environment, experience in the service industry would be an advantage
- You know how to develop and strengthen business relationships and partnerships with all types of clients
- You have strong negotiation skills and experience in setting up partnerships across Europe
- You show an entrepreneurial mindset, positive attitude and you are results and digital driven
- You can adapt to different cultures in a fast-changing environment and are keen to work in a matrixial environment
- You speak fluent English (knowledge of German and/or French would be highly appreciated)
- A Diploma/Master from a Business School would be an advantage
