Our Team:

With the ambition to make the CHC GBU autonomous, some new entities have been created

  • Opella Healthcare Group which is the new Entrepreneur of the CHC organization supporting risks, supporting central costs and remunerating IPO

  • Opella Healthcare International is which Opella Healthcare RDC: Pharmaceutical Establishment manufacturer, Importer, Distributor, Depositary

  • Opella Healthcare France which is the France distributor of CHC products

Those entities are under the responsibility of GBS for accounting purpose. GBS is setting up with Captive shared services in Budapest and Chattanooga and local retained teams.

In CHC organization, head of finance Operations (HFO) takes over most of the CFO's duties, as that role will no longer exist.

CHC Head of Finance Operations France ​is responsible for:

  • All accounting aspects of CHC France LE including accounting topics related to Tax and Treasury

  • Accuracy and completeness of financial data at LE level, by applying CHC’s guidelines and accounting standards. Reviews and monitors technical accounting rules implementation, controls (SOX countries) and compliance

  • Both local and corporate financial reporting: accuracy and fair representation of the legal entity(ies) financial statements and corporate reporting (Solar), and all the underlying processes that support the generations of the financial statements (including SOX certifications and Audit of local statutory accounts). Accountability and final sign-off will stay on Head of Finance CHC France

  • Reviewing, validating and providing expertise on the accounting treatment of complex flows, contracts, etc.

CHC HFO represents Finance in Entity steerco and provide to Head of finance CHC France analysis of financial statement of French CHC entities.

CHC HFO manages the relationship with key stakeholders. Works closely with GBS stream (A2R, S2V, CI2C and HRS) in order to have a global view of financial statement and implements strong collaboration with Head of Finance Performance, with Supply chain and customer service, with Commercial operations

Main responsibilities:

Service Delivery

  • Accountable for the efficient, high quality and compliant delivery of an end-to-end service: Fixed assets, Intercompany Accounting, Bank Accounting, General Ledger Accounting and closing, Cost Accounting, Tax accounting and filling, Financial and Statutory Reporting, Master Data

  • Ensures all accounts are stated in accordance with international and local Financial Reporting Standards and Sanofi Group Standards

  • Is responsible for on time submission of all Group financial reporting for all legal entities in his/her geographical scope

  • In close collaboration with the Consolidation Department, provides support in technical accounting to Head of finance CHC France

  • Ensures coordination of external audits and contributes to tax audits in close collaboration with the Tax Department

  • Is responsible for Local GAAP adjustments: on payroll, pension, amortization and Local tax calculation

  • Creates a culture of cooperation, performance and teamwork across A2R teams, especially between the Budapest A2R Global Business services (GBS)) and the A2R teams in the country and ensure a smooth interface to the relevant stakeholders inside and outside of GBS

  • In line with the global GBS core model, provides and monitors service KPIs and dashboards to measure and improve performance (cost, efficiency, quality/compliance, user experience)

  • Ensure Compliance and Internal Control/SOX standards are met

Continuous improvement

  • Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities and potential automation

  • Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition

  • Participate in global projects as required

People Management

  • Gives visibility and communicates on France strategy

  • Sets objectives for his/her staff and assesses the contributions during interviews

  • Develops team skillset to adapt to evolving roles coming from new technologies and changes in organization

  • Oversees hiring process and manages career path for his/her team

  • Manage remotely part of the team

  • Transversal management with Service lines based in Budapest

About you

  • Experience: 10-15 years hands on experience in finance and processes in an international, multicultural, complex environment, Experience of managing teams remotely, must have experience of working with key stakeholders across functions up to Executive level

  • Soft skills: Strong analytical skills and strength of proposal, Strong problem solving and decision-making skills to resolve issues in a manner that is customer oriented. Focused on business-value, with a flexible and versatile approach that takes into account and adjusts to develop recommendations that reflect shifting business priorities, High level of Interpersonal/communication skills with an ability to communicate and present at different levels of the organization, Transversal mindset and ability to work across processes, geographies, languages, cultures, business maturity levels

  • Technical skills: Technical expertise in finance, Strong Knowledge in project management, including overall IT system aspects, demonstrate ability to drive initiatives from concept to execution, Strong process knowledge with ability to redefine processes from end to end to support Business needs, Team management: Strong leadership, autonomy and management skills: management of resources required ensuring timely availability of resources that have right skills, experience and capability

  • Education: Graduate or master’s degree in finance or accounting

  • Languages: Fluent in English and French
