We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to join the Team. As a Lead Data Engineer at Resilience you will have the opportunity to lead a Team of Data Engineers. Your Team is in charge of collecting, structuring and processing the data used by all of our products and data services, as well as maintaining our data platform for all the data users. How your job participates to make Resilience successful :

As a data driven company, the Data Engineering team is participating to make Resilience successful supporting all of the teams to achieve their projects with a global common objective: reinvent cancer care and improve patients quality of life.

What your day to day looks like :

Scope of the Data Engineering Team

• Data Factory

  • Design the most appropriate architecture to build the health-related data factory

  • Collaborate with the internal Resilience teams (Medical, R&D, Operations, etc.) to understand and define the best way to structure the data

  • Develop and maintain jobs or services in charge of ingesting, cleaning, processing and storing the data in our internal data warehouse

  • Develop and maintain services to make the data available to the whole Resilience platform/teams and ensure privacy and security concerns are well handled

• Data Platform

  • Explore, develop and deploy tools to facilitate the data team(s) (Data Engineering + Business Analytics + Data Science) daily work

  • Implement and maintain tools to improve data observability, traceability and quality at the company level

• Data Analytics

  • Provide tools and expose data for business intelligence needs in a decentralized and business oriented vision, animate data teams to facilitate collaboration and data assets sharing

  • Develop and maintain an external analytics product

Responsibilities of the Lead Data Engineer

• Management and technical leadership

  • Orient and help members of the Team in their contributions

  • Organize the team to ensure coverage of activities and back-up

  • Make each member of the team grow

• Product and project management :

  • Define and update the roadmap with the Team and the other Teams inputs, report to Leadership

  • Manage the backlog and the priorities of the Team, with the Team and other Teams inputs, animate agile ceremonies

  • Manage some technical data projects

• Individual design and development contributions
  

✨Your Data Engineering Team

The Data Engineering team exists from almost the beginning of the company, even before the data (!). It gives you an idea of how important the data is at Resilience. The Team is currently composed of one Lead Data Engineer (taking a new position), 4 Data Engineers and 1 Front-End Data Developer.

Alric has joined the company more than one year ago, he lives in Biarritz and obviously loves surf, hiking and sailing.

Melody joined the company 7 months ago, she lives in Paris but is originally from Brittany, she is our best pool player at team meetings.

2️⃣ Who we are looking for

⚙️ You’re the right candidate if you know :

• Must-have

  • Strong Object-Oriented programming skills including Python

  • Strong SQL modelization (normal forms, star schema…) and analytics (SQL-based) skills

  • Good knowledge of service-oriented software architectures, ability to design scalable solutions

  • Good knowledge of data tools and technologies

• Nice-to-have

  • Development of dashboards in Metabase or other analytics tools

  • NoSQL DB knowledge

• Must-have

  • Structured complex data according to business constraints

  • Designed, implemented and maintained data ingestion and processing pipelines in production system

  • Maintained architecture relying on workflow schedulers (Prefect, Airflow…)

  • Deployed and maintained essential data platform tools (transformation, analytics, etc.)

  • Contributed to services-oriented architectures and familiar with Domain Driven Development

• Nice-to-have

  • Managed a team

  • Experience in a start-up or a scale-up

  • Implemented and maintained messaged-based architecture (Kafka)

  • Skills in data visualization

  • Tests and automations awareness

  • Deployed and maintained data catalog, data lineage platform tools

Technical environment : On Premise OVH S3-like, PostgreSQL, DBT, Prefect, Metabase, SQL, Python, Grafana/Loki, Cube.js

Full remote position in Metropolitan France preferred

Experience required: ≥ 5-7 years

Languages : both oral and written English and French are mandatory
