Help us digitalize international freight transportation!

OVRSEA is a next-generation multimodal freight forwarder committed to simplifying and optimizing international freight management through technology. They coordinate the transports of 700+ companies across 60 countries, and provide their clients with a unique platform on which their teams can manage their shipments in a simple and transparent way. The Supply & Procurement Team

As part of the Supply & Procurement team, you will have the opportunity to be at the heart of OVRSEA’s activity, being in contact with Sales and Ops in all our international offices, while seeing how partner management and negotiations are done on a global scale.

A bit more about the team:

- Our mission is to feed OVRSEA’s growth by negotiating competitive and qualitative services with our international network of partners.

- The team is organized in three specialized verticals: agents and rail, air, ocean.

- Each team member is in charge of building our network of partners, negotiating rates and services and answering all knowledge needs on their scope (internally and externally).

The Supply & Procurement Intern role

You will work with all members of the team and be exposed to all modes (ocean, air, rail shipments), for all our offices, on the following missions (non-exhaustive):

👉 Procurement & Pricing (60%)

- Procurement: help the team find the best possible offers to answer client requests (recurring shipments, one-shot projects, tenders and RFPs)

- Pricing quality: prepare complex quotations and manage quote validation when needed

- Rates and rules management: make sure our internal pricing algorithm is up to date and displays the most relevant options, identify areas of improvements

👉 Partner Management (20%)

- Onboarding of suppliers: Help find and onboard new suppliers based on network improvement areas

- Partner management: Support partner management rituals (e.g. business review preparation, meetings with partners, analyses of our network to identify areas of improvement, etc.)

👉Ad hoc projects (10%)

- Analytics: build a new dashboard, handle ad hoc analyses, review a specific process, etc.

- Knowledge: help manage internal newsletters (pricing trends, market information…), research and prepare external content on specific modes, etc.

Are you the one? 

- You can start your internship between June and September 2024. You are available 6 months.

- You can speak and write both French and English fluently.

- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- You want to work within a team and be exposed to very diverse projects.

- You have a clear interest in learning about our industry and our activity.
