The Operations team
The Operations (Ops) Team plays a crucial role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience at OVRSEA. Reactivity, excellence, pedagogy, and customer awareness are the guiding principles that drive our team!
The Ops team serves as the primary point of contact for our customers and acts as a bridge between all our carefully chosen service providers. These providers have been selected based on their commitment to delivering high-quality service, prompt responsiveness, and reliability.
What does it mean to be an Operations Management Intern at OVRSEA?
The Ops Manager responds to our customers’ requests for quotes in a fast and relevant way and have the role of making the pricing and purchasing operations more efficient by improving the tools and processes in place.
The Ops Manager communicates in real time with the customer concerning the evolution of the transport, informs him on the important stages, guides him in case of constraints and hazards and is a force of proposal if the situation requires it.
He is also in daily contact with the various service providers chosen (in general 4 to 5 service providers are necessary for an import*: an agent in a foreign country, the shipping company, the customs declarant, and the carrier*) and acts as a link between all the parties involved throughout the duration of the transport.
At the end of the transport, the Ops Manager is in charge of invoicing and billing the transport file.
For all these reasons, the Ops occupies a major role in OVRSEA’s activity, which makes it a key pillar for the company.
