    Descriptif du poste

    Outbrain is seeking a highly motivated, relationship-focused Business Development Director to focus on the publisher space. If you are interested in joining a group of accomplished, passionate people and willing to take part in the growth of our activity in France by managing the business relationship with our Publishers, then we want to talk to you!

    The Role

    We’re looking for a senior profile with a strong analytical mindset to work closely with publishers and new audience segments to develop the Engage (publisher) business. Our ideal candidate will have strong business development experience ideally within a digital and publishing environment supported by exemplary relationship management skills. As a Business Development Director you will take full ownership of your publisher network, working alongside the account management team and you will be responsible for the long term growth of both existing and prospective clients.

    Your main missions:

    • Establish long-term profitable business relationships with our publishers on the French territory

    • Team up with the Account Management Team to deliver the best of our monetisation and recommendation solutions to our premium publishers

    • Find new growth opportunities, close deals with new publishers

    • Forecast our growth and identify our needs, working closely with our Finance Team

    • Negotiate complex distribution contracts with publishers, alongside our Legal team support

    Profil recherché

    Winning Factors:

    • Focus on “getting things done” in a fast-moving and very challenging publisher environment

    • Ability to constantly collaborate with other Outbrain departments (Account Management, Finance, Legal, Marketing) to achieve your goal.

    • A strong ability to juggle with numbers, forecasts, reporting and legal aspects of the role

    Essential Skills and Experience:

    • 7 years+ experience, minimum five years digital experience

    • You are a modelling and forecasting expert and understand the numbers in detail as 50% of your time will be spent modelling. So you have an absolute taste for numbers!

    • Experience in structuring and negotiating deals for a digital company or deals where an online component and revenue were central

    • Strong experience in identifying trends in data and in generated reports

    • Experience of working in the French digital media industry (ideally publisher related) and understand the publisher eco-system

    • Solid understanding of digital technologies/site monetization and ability to explain product benefits in detail

    • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation and sales skills. Excellent relationship building abilities and experience in contract negotiation
