🌟Context of the role:🌟

CO2 emitted by aircraft is responsible for only about half of the climate impact of aviation. The other half comes from contrails, artificial clouds created by soot from engine exhaust. Under certain conditions, some contrails warm the atmosphere and thus contribute to global warming.

🌟The main missions are to:🌟

Fully integrated into the Science team, you will explore the literature on contrail modeling, and apply it to estimate the potential contribution of each individual flight to the creation of contrails.

🌟Activities & Responsibilities:🌟

  • Analyze flight data coming from several sources such as flight data recorders (black boxes), radar data, weather data, etc.

  • Design, develop and validate innovative and pragmatic solutions using data science techniques and physics.

  • Write an intersnhip report as well as weekly internal presentations.

  • Coming from a master’s degree with a strong Data Science component.
  • Passionate (or eager to learn) about aeronautics and it’s impact on the environment
  • Great python development skills
  • Fluent in english
