OdysseyRe Paris, the branch in charge of the EMEA Division, is recruiting an underwriter for Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Within the Underwriting department, you are responsible for the technical and administrative management of the treaties in collaboration with all the company’s departments – especially Actuarial, Finance and Accounting, Claims. Working closely with the market director, you support him for underwriting activities on all non-life treaty business in the region.

Your main tasks are as follows :

- Active participation in business follow-up and renewal;

- Participation in the commercial development of our portfolio through contact with customers and brokers;

- Qualitative analysis of contracts in relation to our underwriting guidelines;

- Quantitative analysis of customer portfolios and exposures, in close collaboration with the Actuarial Department;

- Recording of contracts within information systems in compliance with internal procedures;

- Administrative management of contracts;

- Follow-up of certain claims files.

This list is not exhaustive and may change depending on needs.

Graduated from higher education (Master or equivalent), you have at least 5 years of experience, ideally in a similar position in reinsurance (or insurance/brokerage).

A good command of German and English is essential. You are also comfortable working with figures, also in Excel.

You are rigorous and organized, with good analytical and summarizing skills. Your team spirit, interpersonal skills and adaptability allow you to integrate easily into a team on a human scale.
