To support our next phase of growth, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on VP of Engineering to lead our growing tech organization. You will shape the engineering vision, foster technical excellence, and ensure delivery at scale while nurturing a collaborative, high-performance culture.
Your Mission
As VP Engineering, you will report directly to the CPTO and work in close collaboration with the VP Product, VP Sales, and other members of the leadership team. You will be responsible for:
- Structuring and scaling our Engineering team (~15–20 engineers today, with ambition to grow)
- Ensuring fast, secure, and reliable product delivery aligned with our roadmap
- Building a tech strategy that supports business objectives and innovation
Your Key Responsibilities
👥 Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Build and lead a strong, motivated, and diverse team of backend, frontend, QA, and DevOps engineers.
- Attract top talent and support the development of engineers through coaching, mentoring, and clear career paths.
- Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
⚙️ Engineering Operations & Delivery
- Define and optimize engineering workflows (CI/CD, testing, release, QA).
- Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
- Collaborate with Product to refine specs, estimates, and delivery scopes.
🧱 Tech Strategy & Architecture
- Set a long-term technical vision that supports product ambitions and scale.
- Ensure strong foundations: performance, maintainability, modularity, and security.
- Make key architectural decisions and arbitrate build vs. buy choices.
🤝 Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a strategic partner to Product, Sales, Customer Success and other functions.
- Promote a healthy collaboration model between technical and non-technical teams.
- Ensure transparency in priorities, progress, and incident management.
Your Profile
- 8+ years of engineering experience including 3+ years in a leadership role (CTO, VP Eng, Head of Eng, etc.).
- Background in SaaS platforms, ideally B2B and multi-tenant.
- Strong foundation in architecture, performance optimization, and secure development.
- Passion for people leadership, with proven ability to build and scale high-performing teams.
- Comfortable working in a scale-up environment: ambiguity, autonomy, and ownership.
- Excellent communication and decision-making skills.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in hybrid workplace, PropTech or WorkTech environments.
- Experience working with a cross-functional Product/Design/Tech trio.
- Familiarity with our stack: Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Azure, etc.
