As a Senior Illustrator, you’ll be at the heart of shaping Million Lords’ visual identity. You’ll create high-quality illustrations and concept art that define and elevate the game’s artistic style and storytelling. Your visuals will bring the world of Million Lords to life, guiding both the art team and the player experience. You’ll work closely with the Art Director and fellow artists to ensure a consistent and impactful visual direction across all creative assets.
Your will:
Create and deliver high-quality concept art and key illustrations that define and reinforce the game’s visual identity, ensuring assets are always production-ready and aligned with the Art Director’s vision
Mentor junior artists by sharing technical expertise, guiding their growth, and helping maintain visual consistency across the team’s output
Support the continuous improvement of the illustration pipeline by sharing feedback, suggesting workflow enhancements, and contributing to documentation and team-wide best practices
Collaborate closely with the Art Director to understand and embody the artistic vision, while also providing thoughtful input to help refine and clarify it for the broader team through your own work and guidance
Produce complementary visuals in response to the needs of other departments (Game Design, Marketing, UI, Narrative) while maintaining alignment with the project’s visual direction, and proactively suggest visual ideas that enhance the player experience or production quality
You have:
7+ years of experience as a Senior Artist or Illustrator in the video game industry, ideally on core games, mobile or F2P titles
Exceptional skills in advanced drawing and painting, with a focus on concept art development and style adaptation across multiple themes and settings
A proven ability to produce visual development assets and marketing illustrations, as well as compelling character and environment designs
Experience mentoring junior artists, with a collaborative mindset and a focus on helping the team maintain high-quality and stylistically consistent outputs
A proactive, result-focused approach, able to balance creative ambition with production constraints
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to propose impactful visual solutions
Fluent in French and English
Familiarity with or curiosity about generative AI tools (e.g. for visual research, idea generation, or pipeline experimentation)
Bonus:

A strong portfolio featuring anthropomorphic animal characters, showcasing expressive designs, clear personalities, and strong storytelling through visuals
Prior work in marketing illustration including splash art or cinematic keyframes
