Job Description:

Location : Aimargues (30 min from Montpellier)

Type of contract : permanent (CDI)

As a Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager at Mars, you will partner to drive development & implementation of sub-category buying strategies and co-pilot optimization of resources. This role manages both regional and global initiatives by leveraging supplier relationships, while also driving standardization and automation. Ownership of sub-category spend on a global basis will be key, as will heavy x-functional collaboration and close partnership with key stakeholders. 

What are we looking for? 

• Ideally you will have around 5 years commercial or purchasing experience, preferably in the area of direct buying.

• We want someone who shares our passion for driving value for our business by leveraging various sourcing channels. 

• You’ll also need to hold a Bachelors / master's degree. 

What will be your key responsibilities? 

• Is the key Strategic Sourcing point of contact and represents Commercial (RC Sourcing) for the Packaging WET category.

• Inputs to and executes the Global Sourcing strategy for Pouch, Trays and Cans in RC.

• Defines the Global Sourcing Strategy for Rigid packaging.

• Accountable for the Supplier Relationship Management of Pouch, Trays, Cans and Rigid packaging for RC.

• Leads negotiations with Suppliers, accountable for ensuring appropriate governance, contracts, IP etc… is in place.

• Evaluates Supplier Performance and drives Continuous Improvement in Performance.

• Partners with internal stakeholders in the relevant forums / with the wider Mars to ensure business needs are met.  

• Executes the Global WoW and processes to support the execution of our packaging sustainability commitments e.g PCR consolidations, plastic consumption, in support of the Dry Category Leader for Packaging.

• Manages and supports the use of e-sourcing tools and the data integrity to support the use of these tools.

• Supports data integrity of the category (Packaging Dry and Wet), through ensuring high quality data management.
