About the role

Are you customer/user-obsessed, data oriented, with a strong business sense? Do you enjoy listening to what our users have to say to find compelling insights, and use your business skills to translate these insights into action and content? Would you be excited to work on the merge of two marketplaces ?  

We are looking for a talented German speaking Product Marketing Manager, based in Berlin, Munich, Paris, or Amsterdam.

You would be reporting to Meg-Anne, our Senior Product Marketing Manager,  within the Marketing team. This is a role with an international scope (you’ll be working on products across all our markets), coupled with an expertise on the German market.

Product marketing is the process of bringing a product to market and overseeing its overall success

Our mission is threefold: 

1) Understand: we feed the product strategy with customers, freelancers and competitive insights

2) Shape: we articulate our products values & messaging in a way that resonates with the market

3) Roll-out: we drive successful product launches and generate product growth 

As a result the team works across the entire product lifecycle, from informing product builds, to driving launch and commercialization, to growing product adoption post-launch. 

 

Here’s an overview of your future responsibilities:

*Product strategy: Partner with Product teams on the merge of Malt & Comatch’s offers & marketplaces (following the acquisition of Comatch by Malt).

*Market & Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market data, industry trends, to translate insights into business opportunities and actionable content. Have a focus on the German market.

*Positioning: Create powerful product value propositions, based on customer insights, competitive data and market trends.

*Go-to-Market Strategy: Drive the GTM strategy, including sales enablement and external communication/awareness programs, and lead the cross-functional execution of the launch plan to uniquely differentiate Malt on the market.

*Reporting: Track progress against product marketing goals, making continuous recommendations for how we can improve impact

Our Product Marketing Manager would be someone with :

  • German native mandatory and your english is excellent. Overall you have great communication skills
  • A Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Research, Economics or similar or equivalent practical experience is required
  • 3+ years of work experience in a Product Marketing, Product Management, Management Consulting, Product Strategy role in a fast-paced, Saas or digital environment, ideally in a B2B company.
  • You have constantly demonstrated a strong ability to work independently and autonomously: once you understand the scope of a project, you’re able to work independently, often coming up with ingenious ways to reach your goals.
  • You’ve proven your ability to work in cross-functional teams, communicate with colleagues in both business and technical roles.
  • Proven ability to synthesize research findings into key insights that resonate with cross-functional audiences. You are able to craft content and clearly articulate differentiation.
  • You have experience utilizing data and analytics to formulate objectives & solve business problems
  • Customer-centric mind; curiosity and motivation to solve our customers' problem.

  • Screening with Vicky, Talent Acquisition Manager, to better understand your background, aspirations and answer your questions (30-45 minutes)
  • Interview with your future manager, Meg-Anne, our Senior Product Marketing Manager, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (45-60 minutes)
  • Home assignment to prepare and present in order to evaluate your hard skills (45 minutes)
  • Final interview with Ségolène, our Chief Marketing Officer, to discuss Malt’s long term vision (30-45 minutes)
