About the role

As a Communications Manager, it is your job to share Malt’s vision to revolutionise the world of work and bring back more empowerment and freedom for freelancers with our companies and freelancers in order to make Malt's offer and services tangible for our community.

Therefore, you will use all relevant channels such as events, social media, newsletters, blog articles and PR. You will work closely with our local Field Marketing Manager and Community Managers, as well as with the Communications team at our headquarters in Paris.

As a Communications Manager, Your missions will be

  • You will be in charge of transforming global business objectives into impactful 360 degree communication strategies to increase the awareness of Malt in the German market and define the main topics for our relevant target groups
  • You are in charge of Malt’s public relations and social media management in Germany and are able to handle all channels (social media, PR, events, etc.) to distribute your messages effectively and creatively 
  • You build and maintain excellent relationships with relevant media and identify opportunities to proactively position our product and events to our stakeholders
  • You work together with agencies to ensure a well-thought and precise execution of your campaigns across all relevant channels
  • You work closely with the global team to ensure that local and global strategies are aligned. Therefore you will be monitoring and reporting results of your activities with clear recommendations for further actions.
  • Preferred experience

  • Minimum of 6/8+ years of professional experience in an agency, corporate communications or another comparable role as well as a qualified degree (Bachelor/Master)
  • Deep understanding of the German media landscape and preferably established media relationships with key contacts in the DACH-market
  • A proven track record of creating innovative local communication campaigns and generating high-quality results when executing the campaigns
  • You have excellent writing skills in German and English including a clear understanding how to address all stakeholders
  • Experience managing multiple projects autonomously in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with PR agencies
  • Able to travel within Germany and occasionally to Paris
  • Passion for your job, an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to work in a real scale-up company 
  • Fluent in German and English

  • Interview with your futur manager, to discuss your experience and the role in more detail (45-60 minutes)

  • Final interview with a C-Level to discuss Malt’s long term vision
