Luos is the Docker of embedded systems. In other words, it is the software architecture for efficiently design, test and deploy embedded applications.
More in details, Luos is a startup that develops a research-based software technology to reduce the time-to-market of the embedded market and facilitate the development of new electronic products.
They design a nervous system and an API for embedded systems, an innovative communication technology dedicated to electronics.
Their ambition is to change the way embedded software is developed by replicating some major advances that occurred in the web and software fields. They advocate a microservice and API approach for embedded systems.
Their customers build consumer electronics, robots, smart home appliances, IoT, new mobility, etc.
Job description
At Luos, our mission is to enable companies to provide simple, efficient software architecture for efficiently designing, testing and deploying embedded applications. We are looking for a backend developer to help us grow our product features in line with this mission. You will be joining our product squad in charge of providing the best embedded application toolkit experience to our customers and users.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about delivering great features that empower our customers, has proven software engineering skills, is eager to extend his/her technical expertise, and works well in a small, cross-functional, product-oriented team.
Your mission, as part of the R&D team, will be the development and improvement of Luos web tools, and to bring new functionalities to the Embedded World. We are seaching for the architect of the Luos web side. To put it in a nutshell:
- Design of an applications Hub (kind of Docker Hub)
- Development of a registry to ease the installation of Luos related packages
- Build an install tool on top of registry (CLI)
- Creation of an online/offline easy to use and well documented API
- Creation of diagnostic tools based JSON flow (Web)
- Create a nice dashboard to improve the use of Luos web tools
- Build a tool to manage remote update, multiple update and rolling update
You will work in the embedded systems development team, in a small but fast-expanding structure in which the atmosphere is relaxed and communication-friendly. By coming to work for Luos, you will lay the foundations of our young company and contribute to the future embedded development revolution with us!
Preferred experience
We are looking for an embedded systems enthusiast who is comfortable working in a young and dynamic team. Extracurricular experiences and personal projects are very important to us. Experiences in managing teams, projects, and managerial skills are also appreciated. The hired candidate will be expected to demonstrate initiatives and rationality in their technological choices. Joining us is the opportunity to take part in an ambitious entrepreneurial and technological project!
Hardskills
- Backend tech stack: NodeJS, PHP, Go
- Frameworks: React, Angular, Vue
- API Rest
- SGBDR: MongoDB, PostgreSQL
- Infrastructure SAAS/PAAS: GCP, AWS, etc.
- Web architecture: Event driven, Pub/Sub, WebSocket
Softskills
- Multiple programming language (not specialized in only one techno)
- Mastery of Git/GitHub and Docker is required
- JAMStack, Web Perf, Zero Downtime Deployment
- Security

Other criteria:
- Graduate of an engineering school with a specialization in software architecture.
- Ability to analyze functional and technical requirements, describe, design and develop them.
- Skills on front-end design is a plus.
- Basic skills in graphic design.
