Job Opportunity: Policy and Regulation Intern​

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and commercially minded individual to support our Policy & Regulation team. ​

Role Overview:​

As a Policy & Regulation Intern at Longevity Partners, you will play a vital role in supporting the development of our EU Taxonomy service line. This internship will focus on the completion of the EU Taxonomy alignment tool. The intern may also be required to support dynamically on additional Longevity services including legislative and policy research, data management and analysis. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in the field of sustainable development and contribute to real-world projects that drive positive change in the built environment. Longevity Partners will consider amending the status of the internship to a full-time position depending on performance. ​​​

Primary Responsibilities:​

  • Refinement and additional development of Longevity Partners’ EU Taxonomy alignment tool. This will include:​

  • Building out modular capacity for national and regional specifications;​

  • Considering future alignment with internal relational database systems;​

  • Reformatting user interface to ensure optimal usability;​

  • Developing scripts to enable automatic population of tool from RFIs.​

  • Developing knowledge base on EU Taxonomy regulation and applicability to real estate sector, and integrating findings into EU Taxonomy tool. ​

Secondary Responsibilities: ​

  • Participating in client-facing EU Taxonomy projects​

  • Monitor legislative developments and policy trends related to sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate change​

  • Assist in the development of policy briefs and collaborate with team members to identify emerging policy opportunities and potential risks for our clients.​

  • Provide administrative support for policy-related projects, including data management and documentation.​

Essential Qualifications and Skills:​

  • Final year of Undergraduate degree or pursuing a Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field such as Economics, Political Science, Environmental Policy, Law. ​

  • Knowledge of EU Taxonomy regulation, working experience highly valued.​

  • Programming proficiency (Python or R).​

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).​

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.​

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.​

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.​

Desirable Qualifications and Skills:​

  • Knowledge of energy and sustainability policy frameworks and regulatory mechanisms.​

  • Familiarity with environmental law and governance structures.​

  • Previous internship or work experience in a policy, advocacy, or research role.​

  • Fluency in languages other than English is a plus.​

Location: London, United Kingdom​

Duration: The internship will run for a duration of three months with the view of extension to a full time Analyst position. ​
