Here is a description of the role we are opening:
Responsibilities
Develop and present an innovation Roadmap for the Dresden site across Operations and Business Units stakeholders
Stay abreast of new technologies, and share them across the organisation
Lead key operations engineering projects within the defined budgeted resources and timeline - from machinery development and acquisition through ramp-up, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal standards.
Collaborate with the Purchasing department to select suitable suppliers and manage the installation, ramp-up, and seamless handover of new manufacturing equipment to Production, ensuring full documentation and operational readiness.
Align engineering activities with New Product Development, Project Management teams from the related Business Units
Support the production with new processes, continuous process optimization and create engineering activities list
Indirectly lead and support the Process Engineering team
Proactively contribute to continuous improvement in cost savings, quality improvement, and productivity
Assist in the training and development of engineers, operators, and maintenance staff in collaboration with the Production Manager
Overview and optimization of manufacturing equipment performance and safety
Qualification:
5+ years of experience as an Industrialization Engineer, including at least 2 years in a Team Lead role, in a semiconductor or mechanical industry
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Industrial, or a related field)
Proven expertise in industrial engineering, project management, and shop-floor operations
Strong knowledge of production processes and lean manufacturing principles
Familiarity with RFID technology is a plus
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style
Lean Engineering certification (e.g., Six Sigma) is advantageous
Fluent in both German and English
