Main Responsibilities:

Working in close collaboration with Senior Fund Analysts supporting Fund Investment Due Diligence:

· Establish and maintain relationships to hedge fund managers, the initial screening of investment managers; participe in meetings with the managers (both virtual and onsite); quantitative performance analysis and qualitative due diligence.

· Prepare the ground work for investment due diligence reports and related written research on a high-frequency basis.

· Ensure ongoing monitoring of funds in watchlist/buylist and clients’ portfolios to ensure recency of existing research and ratings.

· Lead strategy Analysis

· Assist in the production of strategy forecasting for assigned strategies within hedge funds.

· Assist in the production and maintenance of asset class/industry research outlining the key attributes, trends and drivers of a given strategy.

· Identify and recommend any additional tools or analytics which will enhance the overall accuracy of NewAlpha’s research.

· Support business development activities, including involvement in client marketing and portfolio construction as needed.

6-month internship to be filled in January/February 2023

Profil recherché

Description du profil :

• Engineer / Business Major with a Finance / Financial Engineering specialty

• Good analytical skills

• Self Starter

• Good communication skills (verbal and written)

• Passionate about investing and good knowledge of financial markets

• Team spirit and initiative in an entrepreneurial structure (25 people in Paris)

• If possible, already an internship experience in market finance / asset management

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools

• Although not a pre-requirement, preference will be for quantitatively astute candidates programming (R, Matlab, MySQL …)

• Fluent English (written and spoken)
