ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Maximize value of the ecosystems

Support the Indirect Supply Chain Team in owning strategic ecosystem relationships in order to build long term business partnerships and support continuous improvement by leveraging continuous improvement tools and processes

Develops strategic suppliers and creates a ‘preferred customer’ relationship with them. Increases innovation through a selective SRM approach.

Leads continuous improvement projects with strategic, impactful suppliers – P&L and Top Line.

Build Category strategy and leverage Market Capabilities

Anticipates major changes in needs. Offers optimal solutions involving internal and external network/resources. Incorporates VA methodology into the practice of expression of needs.

Develops ‘Market intelligence’ on categories. Leads change in market structure.

Impulses, builds, challenges category strategies.

Leads the strategy of the field and ensures its overall coherence.

Captures innovation opportunities (external/internal sources, SC communities).

Contributes to “best practices” and innovative cross-functional solutions, and out-of-domain sharing of Purchasing. Identify key internal projects where the category can add value.

Create and deploy category kits/toolboxes/methodologies

Carry out internal and external benchmarks

Deliver financial performance and build data intelligence.

Deliver financial and performance metrics for the categories including fulfilment of value creation (Cost savings, Cost avoidance, Working Capital, Capex Cash, Sustainability, etc.) 

Influence the budget (inflation guidance, financial target setting, integration to business processes) and communicate on Risks and Opportunities versus the initial plan at different level within the organization

Develop in-depth market and industry analysis skills. Understanding key cost drivers of the categories including underlying commodity dynamics and developing negotiation and cost management strategies accordingly, also exploring should cost model applications.

Maximizes the value creation opportunities that impact the P&L and the Top Line. Activates all the levers in the value chain using ‘Cost models’. Promotes TCO initiatives. Captures break-up ideas and innovations from ecosystems.

Supports WW initiatives and local implementation with the help of the regional / local sourcing network

Leverage data to deliver additional performance

Support to Major initiatives and transformation

Anticipate, mitigate risk for Neo Deployment with 3PL.

Leverage extended Sourcing Network & tools, Insure compliance and risk management

Animates the network globally on the category. Communicates/manages projects and shares information and influences its prescribers’ stakeholders. Builds and develops the share of purchasing voices from prescribers.

Coordinates regional / local buyers to ensure correct implementation of the WW strategy and the WW contracts

Demonstrate strong knowledge of Sourcing business processes and systems, and pro-actively sharing your knowledge with others. You play an active role in process and systems improvement within Sourcing

Assess and manage risk. Implants elaborate/‘disruptive’ methods or tools to reduce risks.

Negotiates intellectual property, licenses, exclusivity agreements for innovation. - Has a global view of contracts at the level of its field.

Engage Ecosystem in the L’OREAL for the Future sustainability program.

 Engage supplier ecosystem in their own sustainability program

Contribute to the sustainability journey to meet L’Oreal targets on Human rights protection, Environment preservation, Business Integrity and Diversity equity and Inclusion.


Profil recherché

He/she must be highly analytical, a problem solver and an out of the box thinker with the ability to develop market insights, identify trends and strategies to manage the various market forces that drive risk and costs.

He/she needs to understand global spend categories and act as a strategic partner to functional steakholders within the company.

The candidate must be capable of driving overall best value sourcing strategies for categories (risk, quality, service, and cost), rationalizing the supply base, negotiating and contracting and establishing partnerships with key suppliers.

Demonstrates strong Ability to influence & challenge, at ease to Network as a team player.

Experience in DC & E-Com (Technical and contract management) is a key to succeed in this role.
