As a Lead Data Engineer inside the R&I Beauty Tech Data Team, you will be the referent of the Data Engineer team for the technical implementation. You will contribute to setup the standard and best practices and lead the team to follow them. As a technical data expert, you will lead the optimization of the existing and the architecture design for the new needs. You will also cooperate with the experts from the Global Beauty Tech Data Team and our partners like Google, Microsoft, Databricks to leverage the most updated knowledge. 

In addition, for a concrete data product development lifecycle, you will be in contact with the delivery team to ensure the delivery roadmap, work with the métier to understand their requirement and support the Data Analyst or Data Scientist for their data consumption.

• Ensure the team respects the best practices and responsible of the quality of the work. 

• Template and frame the reusable performant data pipeline to ingest data with the best practices (CI/CD, Code Quality, Test coverage etc.) and monitor the production environment once deployed. 

• Optimize in continual improvement of the architecture using serverless or managed services on top of Google Cloud Platform 

• Participate to define the data modelling and data exposition to use case with Data Architect 

• Participate in the workshops with the different stakeholders: Data Product Owner, Data Analyst, Data Scientist to promote the data usage and to leverage the value of data 

• Aware of new technology innovation and lead the PoC project.

Requirements: 

• 10+ years technical experience and at least 8 years of Data 

• Significant experiences on Data Platform built in Cloud environment and especially in GCP 

• Proven experience in leadership, Data Engineering, development and architecture 

• Competent knowledge on data modeling 

• Good understanding of the DevSecOps and having the experience of CI/CD 

• Well skilled in Python and SQL 

• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Good resilience to face the challenge and resolve the difficulty. 

• Verbal and written communications skills (French and English) 

Secondly, in this specific position, it will be helpful for you to have some experience in: 

• Analytics tools like PowerBI

• Scientific background would be a plus. 

 And finally, you may not be an expert with all requirements listed below, however, you must show great curiosity in understanding the non-mastered technologies. 

• Exhibit broad understanding of technology and the business intelligence landscape.
