As we continue to scale and shape the future of healthcare, we are seeking an exceptional Lead Data Scientist to spearhead cutting-edge research and development efforts within our Data Science team. This is a high-impact leadership role where your work will directly influence our AI strategy, product development, and clinical value — driving innovation that can fundamentally transform how health data is understood and used.
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will:
Lead the design and development of state-of-the-art AI architectures tailored to longitudinal biomedical data, with a strong emphasis on laboratory test results and clinical workflows.
Drive the creation of reusable, pretrained models on lab data that enable transfer learning across a wide range of clinical applications (e.g., prediction, imputation, decision support).
Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks and benchmarks to assess model performance using clinically relevant metrics and ensure robustness and generalizability.
Set the scientific direction for AI initiatives, staying at the forefront of the latest advancements in machine learning and identifying emerging trends with potential applications in health.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including clinicians, biologists, engineers, and product stakeholders, to ensure alignment with clinical impact and real-world utility.
Mentor and technically guide junior and senior team members, promoting knowledge sharing, code quality, and research excellence across the team.
Represent the company at top-tier conferences, contributing actively to the AI and health research communities and establishing the company as a thought leader in this space.
Publish impactful research in major scientific venues (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, Nature Digital Medicine) and contribute to our scientific credibility and visibility.
We’re looking for a mission-driven, scientifically rigorous, and collaborative individual with the following qualifications:
PhD or Master’s in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
At least 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML research, including significant time spent in leadership or strategic roles.
Deep expertise in modern machine learning techniques, including neural networks, representation learning, and probabilistic modeling.
Proven track record in developing and deploying models on real-world structured or temporal datasets; healthcare or MedTech experience is a strong plus.
Strong proficiency in Python (or similar languages), including standard ML libraries (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn).
Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects, balance scientific rigor with product needs, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication skills — able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to both scientific and non-technical audiences.
Passion for mentoring and team development; you enjoy elevating others and building a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
