Product Owner (Mobile)

About the role We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Product Owner to join the Castorama digital team, playing a key role in the ongoing transformation of the retail customer journey. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of technology, mobile experience, and commerce in one of the most recognisable retail brands in Poland.

As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for shaping the vision and roadmap of our customer-facing digital products with a particular focus on mobile platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including UX, development, business stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure delivery of high-impact, scalable, and user-centred solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop the long-term vision and strategy for digital products aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Gather and consolidate requirements and expectations from business stakeholders.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform product direction.
  • Identify opportunities for product growth and recommend practical development approaches.
  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery through delivery and optimisation.
  • Break down requirements into manageable components, focusing on defining MVPs
  • Maintain a well-organised and up-to-date product backlog using agile methodologies.
  • Collaborate with business users, designers, system architects, developers, and QA engineers to ensure detailed and clear user stories with acceptance criteria.
  • Estimate business value and help shape business cases.
  • Monitor service quality (SLA), analyse incident root causes, and recommend functional improvements.
  • Identify risks and take a proactive approach to mitigate them.
  • Adapt to changing priorities and business needs with a flexible and responsive attitude.
What you’ll bring

Skills and Experience
  • Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in mobile applications and retail environment.
  • Strong knowledge of agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  • Experience with backlog management tools (e.g. Jira, Confuence).
  • Solid understanding of product lifecycle, UX/UI principles, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
  • Budget management and risk assessment experience is a plus.
  • Experience working in an omnichannel retail environment is a strong advantage.
  • Knowledge of mobile technology trends and retail customer experience optimisation
  • Excellent command of English and Polish (written and spoken)
