Mission : The Expansion Manager will act as the business lead of our Utah facility, with a sharp focus on business development, strategic partnerships, and market expansion in the United States. This role is pivotal in scaling Fairmat's operations and increasing our footprint in the advanced recycled materials market, particularly within the sporting goods, automotive components, electronics, and energy sectors.

1. Corporate Reporting & Alignment

  • Ensure that US operations are fully aligned with Fairmat's global strategic objectives, effectively translating the company's overarching goals into actionable, local strategies.
  • Establish and maintain robust communication channels between the US operations and the French headquarters. This includes regular, comprehensive reporting on the US subsidiary's performance, challenges, and opportunities to ensure transparency and alignment.
  • 2. Business Development

  • Lead efforts to identify, negotiate, and establish strategic partnerships across the US market, focusing on sectors critical to Fairmat's growth such as recycling services, sporting goods manufacturers, and automotive industry players.
  • Organize and participate in key sales events, trade shows, and industry conferences like the CAMX fair to promote Fairmat’s recycling technology and materials. Drive marketing initiatives to increase brand visibility, market penetration, and customer engagement in the US.
  • 3. Management

  • Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of a high-performing local team capable of achieving Fairmat's operational and business objectives. This includes setting clear goals, setting regular 1:1 meetings to follow-up on projects, providing ongoing feedback, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Implement efficient management practices and reporting protocols to monitor the performance of US operations. Ensure responsibilities such as financial reporting, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance are managed effectively, facilitating informed decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Your Profile :

    - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

    - 5-10 years of professional experience in sales, business development, or strategy, ideally within the recycling, advanced materials, sporting goods, or related industries.

    - Demonstrated success in expanding business operations, preferably in an international context.

    - Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.

    - Proven ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    - Deep understanding of the recycling industry, sustainability practices, and environmental regulations is a plus.

    - Fluent in English; proficiency in French is beneficial but not required.
